Beeball is a highly simplified form of baseball and softball intended to teach the youngest children the basics of these sports. The game is played in teams of boys and girls from 5 to 9 years old. Because the game is played with young children, safety of the game is very important. That is why people play with a soft bat and a soft cue ball. The game is extremely active and provides good team building. It can be played with very limited resources on a square, lawn or in a gym.

The beeball competition in the Netherlands is organized by the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) and runs roughly from the beginning of April to the end of September, with a short break during the summer holidays. The competition is preceded by indoor training in the period November-February and practice matches in March.

To play beeball at H.S.V. To be able to play Adegeest you need to purchase the following materials/items:
An Adegeest kit (gray pants and blue/yellow jersey; available at SSK Europe in Kwintsheul), you rent your kit from the club so that you do not have to buy a new suit when you have outgrown it. 

•  A baseball glove; available at specialty baseball/softball stores.

•  A baseball helmet; available at specialty baseball stores.

•  Outdoor shoes with studs; e.g. baseball cleats or hockey/soccer cleats.
